How to Spool New Line on a Spinning Reel

Hello fellow anglers, this is the first of many demonstration videos to come. Daphne will explain the process of spooling line on a spinning reel. Before you attempt to string up your reel, make sure the line is the right test diameter for the rod and the reel. Most rods and reels display the appropriate test line that should be used on them. Look for the pounds and yards (lbs-yds) indicator on your rod and reel, use those numbers to locate the correct fishing line. If you have any questions on this video or suggestions on future demonstration videos, just post a comment and we will try our best to help.

  1. This is a great demonstration that illustrates the basics. In addition, it shows me “a beginner” step by step on how to properly place new fishing line at a proper weight and without exciting over lode of fishing line.
